MY APPROACH
Designing a home is a collaborative process. I listen to your goals and ask the right questions to understand the daily rhythm of your home and what matters most to you. My role is to maintain a clear, structured environment where you feel supported at every stage.
As a design-focused practice, I take a restrained and thoughtful approach. Ideas are refined until the spaces feel resolved, using honest materials to create a home that is robust and enduring.
This is a considered partnership that values clarity, craft, and the longevity of your home. Whether providing early conceptual clarity or end-to-end architectural service, I ensure your design is delivered with care and intention
Services overview
Every project starts somewhere different. Some people come to me with a clear vision and a site ready to build on. Others are still working out whether their idea is even possible. I offer three ways to work together — full architectural services, a feasibility study, or a standalone consultation — so we can find the right fit for where you are right now.
-
From the first sketch through to the day you get your keys, I work with you across every phase of design, documentation, approvals, and construction. You get a registered architect in your corner the whole way through, asking the right questions, advocating for your vision, and making sure what gets built is exactly what we designed together.
Full services can be engaged as a complete end-to-end package, or by individual phase depending on where you are. Either way, your fee proposal will confirm exactly what's recommended for your scope, site, and budget
-
Not sure if your project is possible, or what it might realistically cost? A feasibility study gives you a clear picture before you commit to anything. I visit the site, review the planning constraints, sketch out what could work, and put together a written report covering approval pathways, likely consultants, and cost-guide range to help you with budgeting. The right starting point if you're still in the "is this worth pursuing?" stage.
-
Got a decision to make and not sure who to ask? A focused session with an architect can bring clarity before you commit to anything, whether it's a property purchase, a set of plans, or a renovation you're ready to start.
Site consultation An on-site design conversation, wherever that needs to happen. We walk through the space, talk through options, and I can sketch rough concepts on the spot.
Pre-purchase property assessment Thinking of buying? Before you sign, get a clear picture of what's possible, what the planning constraints allow, and any red flags worth knowing about. Provided in writing.
Plan review and design advice You have plans from a builder or draftsperson and want a professional opinion before committing. I review the drawings, mark up suggested improvements, and give you something clear to take back to your builder.
Interior design consultation Need direction before you commit to finishes, fixtures, or layout decisions? A focused session covering materials, colours, and spatial flow, with recommendations you can act on straight away.
ARCHITECTURAL services
Every residential project moves through three phases. The specifics vary depending on your scope and site, but this gives you a clear picture of the full arc from our first design conversation to the day construction wraps up. You can engage me for the complete journey, or by individual phase depending on where you are
Phase 01:
Design
This is where it all begins. Before technical drawings or permit applications, we spend time together getting into the good stuff: the feel of your spaces, the style and character you're drawn to, how you want to live in your home. It's collaborative, a little bit messy, and genuinely enjoyable. Through workshops and shared exploration, we craft a design direction that's unmistakably yours, grounded in your site and shaped around your life.
-
You'll finish this stage with resolved floor plans, 3D massing studies, an initial material palette, and a clear architectural direction ready to take forward.
Phase 02:
DeVELOPMENT
The design is taking shape, and now we make it real. This is still a collaborative phase, but the focus shifts to locking things in. We nail down your material selections, colours, and finishes, resolve every space in detail, and bring consultants on board to make sure everything actually works together. Nothing moves to approvals until the design is fully coordinated and you've signed off on it with confidence.
-
Sketch concepts become detailed CAD drawings, with interior elevations, material and fixture selections, and 3D imagery so you can see exactly how your finished home will look and feel.
-
We compile the full architectural package, coordinate specialist consultant reports, and lodge your Development Application, acting as your point of contact throughout the assessment process.
Phase 03:
DeLIVERY
This phase is less about creative exploration and more about precision. We take everything resolved in the previous phases and translate it into a complete technical drawing set, coordinated with your structural and specialist consultants, so your builder can price accurately and build with confidence. The goal is simple: you should know exactly what you're getting and what it costs before a single thing is built. You're designing with your architect, not working it out with the builder on site.
-
A full technical drawing set coordinated with all consultants and ready for your building permit.
-
We manage the quoting process, prepare tender documents, field builder queries, and review submissions so you can select the right contractor with clarity.
-
We stay by your side throughout the build, monitoring design compliance, managing variations, and making sure the finished home reflects the design you signed off on.
NOT SURE Where to start?
You don’t need to have every detail figured out yet. Most projects begin with a simple conversation about your goals, ideas, and what is most important to you. From there, I can guide you toward the service package that best fits your project.
