THE CONTEXT

A fractured layout left the lower-level living spaces disconnected from the main home. This project required an internal stair to bridge the two levels and resolve the rhythm of the house.

THE DESIGN

Conceived as a singular piece of joinery, the stair is crafted from structural plywood for its warmth and durability. The structure works double-duty, wrapping around to form integrated shelving and storage while maintaining a sense of light through open risers.
